You may remember we posted news that Beyoncé was considering changing her second single from “Ring The Alarm” to “Green Light” or “Get Me Bodied.” Looks like she has responded to this report in a new interview:
["Ring The Alarm"] is energetic, aggressive and filled with hard beats and I can’t wait for my fans to see it. I always believed this would be a powerful song. My thoughts about releasing “Green Light” and “Get Me Bodied” was to go first to the international market, but the vibrancy of “Ring The Alarm” is something I wanted the whole word to see and hear right now. “Green Light” and “Get Me Bodied” are definite single contenders, but right now it’s all about “Ring The Alarm.”

Never been a Destiny Child fan. But I applaud this new track. Its a step in the right direction towards smarter R&B. She’s got the power to change the direction of pop music.
Glad she decided not to pull this as her 2nd single.
Can’t wait for more… Yaaaaa Bouncy!

The song is ok! It’s a stretch for young B. It will either make her career or break her. When I say break her I mean as far as record sales. And the the longevity of her solo career. Not for anything between her dad and Jigga they can buy her platnium. LOL I love JZ to death but he has been known to pay to keep his music in heavy rotation in the past and Money is no an object to keep B up there also. Alot of there relationship is based on Her getting her “Hood” crediablity, and him having one of the hottest chicks on his arm. It works out for both of them.

I saw the video last night. HOT!!!!!! Everyone has their own opinions, and in mine b looks fabulous. Uh the video is just fantastic. After hearing so many negative things about it I was so curious to see for myself and I am exteremely pleased. Now I like the song alot more after the video. EXCELLENT job B!

It’s a tight song! I think the lyrics are coincidently (or strategically) going along with the rumors being said lately. I hope Beyonce wouldnt put herself out there like that after being the strong woman type for so long. Jay Z is not the only one packin…

What people have to understand is u may or maynot like the song but always know there is a message being told and u might not be at that point in life but someone else is and a song like Ring the Alarm may carry them to their destiny…stop being so quick to hate or judge: years to come you may be the one crying your eyes out listening!

First of all Beyonce is a bussiness woman…correction a sucessful bussiness woman that continues to re-invent herself and stay above the game whether people hate her or love her. Second music is an expression of real life situations therefore she adresses the issues in her music. And third some of these issues may be from occurences and others from viewing life, however she comes up with her lyrics…WE ALL CONTINUE TO LISTEN!!!
