Rap-Up.com || Breaking News: Brandy Sued For $50 Million

TMZ is reporting that the parents of the woman killed in a car crash involving Brandy are suing the singer for $50 million. TMZ obtained the lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Lawyers for the family of the deceased claim, “Defendant Brandy Norwood was driving recklessly in the freeway when her car collided with Awatif Aboudihaj’s car.” The $50 million lawsuit seeks both compensatory and punitive damages. I feel bad for her too, but 50 million is NOT too much. If that was your momma how would you feel about it? Her life was priceless, and 50 million is NOTHING compared to what she’s worth. And for the record, Brandy is RICH AS HELL. She’s still getting paid from “Moesha”, and still gets money from her songwriting credits. Money is loaded, trust me on that.

its not about the $$$ here in my opinion…this says alot about ppl today…they wanna sue for what…5 trlln want bring their love one back…if this was a regular person the would want 25+ yr in jail but since she famous they want $$$ …they should go for jail time…they missed up now cause all Brandy hav to do now is get a good lawyer …settle for maybe 5 to 10 million and no jail time…the JUDGES do take into acct what the fam orginally asked for and its $$$ so they f’d up lol the will max only get a 1/5 of that $$$…if she has good accountants they could hide alot of her assets and say she was going bankcrupt

ya know… it sucks for brandy… cause she SEEMS like she is a cool person… but she fucked up and now has to pay the price… come on now… if you found out that your mother had died because of fuckin reckless driving… how would you feel… whats makes it worse is that she wasnt drunk or on drugs… the bitch just doesnt know how to drive… its not my place to blame the family for sueing for so much… cause i cant say i wouldnt too… and a judge could also strip he license away and give her jail time… crazy shit man… you F up you got to pay the price..

BUT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!!! I can understand that family is going through a really HARD time losing your mom and daughter, but Brandy didnt say “I am going to go KILL SOMEONE TODAY”. Do you think she is sitting UP IN HER ROOM happy about this!! I am sure she is going Nutts at the fact that she caused this DEATH. My sympathies go out to the family of the lady who died, but also to Brandy because I am sure she is not going to be the same after this. I dont think she should have to pay them $50 million dollars, that is very outragous and makes that family look GREEDY and like they are wanting to be paid off. If I was the judge, I would not award them that much. Maybe 3 million TOPS!

If that was your mother being killed by Brandy, you would try to get as much as you can too. MATTER OF FACT, Brandy is not going to JAIL because she’s a star, she has to be punished one way or another. Of course it’s an accident and she’s not happy about it but her NEGLICENCE took someone’s life. Had it been ME OR YOU, the average person, we wouldn’t be SITTING UP IN OUR ROOM, BUT SITTING UP IN A JAIL CELL! I think what the family is doing is LEGIT!

Not to mention that Brandy can make that money again by selling music, opening a restaurant, not to mention that Moesha money, Americas got talent, Covergirl, Thea, her Movies, ENDORSEMENTS for Hair weave and cars. She’ll do just fine, money comes and goes. I’m sure if yall died in a car accident yall would want your fam to be taken care of if they could, that woman left a child or 2, and her husband. Again, Brandy won’t go to jail cause she’s rich and famous, they MUST compensate another way.

god bless for all the people that where in this accident. If anyone recalls several months ago a white man killed a mother and her son in Anaheim Ca. The white man reached down to get he’s cell phone and then he lost control of the car hidding thim head on.
Nothing ever happen to the guy not even a charge. (the family was Hispanic) Brandy is black and famous.

I think Chante’ you are GREEDY and anybody who tries to railroad a celebrity just because they have money and potential to take more money doesnt mean TAKE THEM FOR ALL THEY HAVE AND SEND THEM TO JAIL!!! They said she wasnt DRUNK or HIGH ON DRUGS, or even USING HER CELL PHONE. Some rumors have been said that is was a car malfunction. I know if it was my mom or somebody close to me I would be mad but NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WOULD HELP ME DEAL AND REVENGE ON SOMEONE WHO ISNT A MURDER BY TAKING EVERYTHING SHE HAS IS WRONG… I Think that all this is happening ONLY because she is BRANDY the Superstar and not you or me. No ANONYMOUS, Chanté is just honest, not a hypocrit like you, I’m just saying loud what yall think secretly. Yall can front all yall want if that was your momma dead in the car because of a celeb that wouldn’t even go to jail because she’s a star you’d do exactly the same. Your mother’s dead, the guilty one doesn’t get no punishment? Get real. It’s jail or money and it won’t be jail, she’s a star. So the family deserves to be taken care of if she can’t be jailed. No it won’t bring the victim back, but Brandy can’t get away with it just because it won’t bring her back. I love Brandy and I’m sorry, but I understand the family. And every one of yall would take this advice from yall’s lawyers and would do the exact same thing.

It was an accident, BUT her NEGLIGENCE killed someone else, it was HER FAULT. This woman left her children, and nothing will change the mental trauma that it is to lose a mother, but since Brandy won’t go to jail because she’s Brandy what are they supposed to do? Nothing? And they won’t get 50 mill, they’re just following lawyers advice to get as much as they can but they won’t get more than 15 mill.

Yall would do the same if that was your mother in the car, with yalls “hollier than thou” asses.

Even if she wasnt Brandy, they wouldnt arrest her. Do you know how many deadly accidents occur per day??? THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS!! There is a car accident every second whether it’s deadly or NOT and Deadly car crashes are one of the highest causes of death in the US… So if every person was arrested for getting into an accident which ultimately killed someone, the jails would fill up over night!! This case is getting hyped up ONLY BECAUSE BRANDY NORWOOD is involved. How would you feel if you were to cause a deadly crash and you were facing jail time or a $50 million dollar lawsuit, when no drugs where involved and you know it was just an accident. Throwing someone with NO RECORD and no intent to kill anyone in jail is STUPID and you all know it!!
