New Music: Olivia – “Missing You”
You may have been wondering what Olivia is up to now that she has left G-Unit. We have been informed by Olivia’s fan club that the R&B singer has started her own company called Music America Underground. She is working on new music with Ne-Yo, Missy Elliott, and Rodney Jerkins. She is also reportedly working on a lingerie and fragrance line to be released through Victoria’s Secret. Olivia will be touring around the world starting in Brazil and Germany. We were sent this new song of hers called ”Missing You” that Olivia dedicates to the troops overseas.

Not hating on Olivia, but this song is boring, and it seems to be missing something, she sounds nice, but i think production is just plain horrid. The troops needs something to lift them up not put them to sleep. Unless that was her intention. In my opinion, olivia needs to give it up or come WAY harder with her album. When ever that comes out.

I know her intentions were good, but this song is weak. It sounds like her lover left her and now she’s sad. She needs to learn that this music thing is not her calling.

I actually like Olivia but, this does not sound like it was made for troops it sounds like it was to one of her lovers. Although I am glad she has not given up and that she has moved on from G-unit. I love victoria secret and can’t wait to see how the fragrance smells. Also it seems like things will work out fine she got good peoples in her corner Neyo and Rodney and Missy the music got to come out right well at least better.

I respect the fact that she started her own company, that’s what more women need to do to have more control over their work in the music industry. Olivia didn’t let her second failure bring her down, that’s very commendable. I gave up on her when she teamed up with G-Unit, now I can say I’m pleasantly surprised!! And obviously, industry people have her back.
“Missing You” is nothing special, and if it’s really something for the troops it is not well written, sounds like a song for a lover like Strawberri mentioned.

I think its a nice smooth song .. for troopers or not i like it …
I’m glad she aint wit G-Unit no more, jus want her to release an album, with some decent music an show 50 that she got what it takes ….

I think that Olivia could compete with today’s music scence ,if she was given the right platform .Vocally people sleeps on her . My only problem is she talks so dude-ish but is hella pretty and girly in person . I Met her at the One-stop shop producer’s conference in pheniox. She was so down to earth and stunningly beautiful T.v. really does no justice for her.

I’ve been a fan of Olivia since her first album in 2001. SHE IS SO TALENTED! I think G-Unit was a bad move for her and I’m glad she’s out of that situation. I really hope she gets her chance to shine.

Sounds good , never would have known her vocal skills from her ”Candy Shop” type Callabos with G-unit Do your thing Olivia !
