Rap-Up.com || New Music: Amerie Because I Love It

Amerie will be releasing her third album Because I Love It in the UK on May 14th. A few of our early favorites are “Gotta Work,” “Some Like It,” “Crush,” and “Losing U.” The album includes production from Bryan Michael-Cox, Cee-Lo, Mike Caren, The Inkredibles, The Buchanans, Ron Brows, Bink, Chris and Drop, and DJ Premier. Longtime Amerie collaborator Rich Harrison is not on this album.

In a recent interview, Amerie told us, “The whole energy around this project is creative growth and just being happy that I make a living out of it. It’s great to be able to do what you love. That perfectly encompasses the whole feeling behind the project.”

The album has yet to get a confirmed release date in the U.S. Until then, her fans in America will have to settle for the import version. Listen to some of the new songs below and make sure to pick up the new issue of Rap-Up to read an all-new interview with Miss Amerie.

The Album will be released on July 17 in the USA.

Rap-Up its stupid that u guys inform people that the album leaked and post so many songs people wont buy it. thats disrespectful but i still got love u guys.

Damn Amerie has some serious STANS in here. And the funny part is ya’ll are the first people to bring Amerie’s name up in a Beyonce post and was the first to bring Beyonce up in this post. Stop bringing Bey up in every post and her fans will stop talking about her. Damn ya’ll are Beyonce’s true STANS can’t even discuss the artist you like without bringing up Beyonce then get made when other people coment on her after ya’ll brought her up. Very original and sexy cover!!! I’m quite curious about Rich not producing this time, but it seems as though amerie’s talents have spread into production as she’s credited as producer on some tracks.Of the 3 tracks, I only liked gotta work, but take control is a great lead single.

Good news for me though coz I live in England so I’m definitely looking forward to the album’s release next week! Yay!
