HOT 97 Summer Jam New York radio station HOT 97 held their annual Summer Jam yesterday at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The biggest names in hip-hop and R&B performed including Lil’ Kim, Kanye West with Swizz Beatz, Ciara, Ludacris, Diddy with Keyshia Cole, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Lil’ Wayne, Ne-Yo, Young Jeezy, Birdman, and Fat Joe.

That concert was proof that hip-hop is near it’s death. I’ve been at every one since 2001 and 06′ and 07′ have been by far the worst (hip-hop wise) ever. Luda and Wheezy were okay this year, but the rest (that Jeezy bullshit and Kanye w/ Swizzy), I could have fallen asleep. And last year, every rapper SUCKED except for T.I. and they cut him off!!! Dipset headlined and 80% of people walked out during the first song. Today rap and rappers are too egotistical, misogynist, degenerate bling bling talentless bubble gum bastards for hip hop to stay alive. And the fact that 90% of the hood tales about drug dealing and violence is 100% bullshit front to try and make themselves look cool.
