Rap-Up.com || BET Awards ‘07: Pre-Show and Main Event

The Main Event, the BET Awards ‘07 air tonight at 8 p.m. EST. “106 & Park” is airing their pre-show now. Some notes:

PRE-SHOW:

• Lloyd performed and brought up his mama to accept an award.
• Eve performed “Tambourine” along with Swizz Beatz. She announced that she will be performing again during the main show with Kelly Rowland. We’re not feeling that new wig, E-V-E.
• Mike Jones performed “My 64″ with Snoop Dogg and Bun B.
• Pretty Ricky did “(I Wanna See You) Push It Baby” and “On the Hotline.”
• Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo are being interviewed together. J-Hud is nominated for Best Female R&B Artist, yet she has yet to put out an album.
• Chamillionaire is on the carpet now with his new artist Famouz. He shot the video for his first single, “Hip-Hop Police,” last weekend with director Marc Klasfeld.
• Bone Thugs performed “I Tried” with Akon.
• 50 Cent and Robin Thicke are being interviewed together.
• Kelly Rowland is on the red carpet.
• Rihanna on the carpet.
• Shop Boyz closed the pre-show by performing “Party Like A Rockstar.”

MAIN EVENT:

• The opener was a bit disappointing. Dreamgirls is so 6 months ago.
• Beyoncé looks beautiful.
• Beyoncé wins Video of the Year for “Irreplaceable.” Not the best video of the bunch, but the most popular song.
• Let’s see how many times the camera cuts to Beyoncé during the awards. Three and counting…
• Didn’t T.I. do the same performance last year? Looks familiar.
• Ne-Yo: Michael Jackson would be proud.
• Ashanti in the audience. Where has she been?
• Lil’ Kim’s surprise performance with Diddy and Keyshia was anticlimactic. It seemed like no one cared.
• Why is Chris Brown wearing a backpack and glasses?
• Beyoncé killed it. She brought out Michelle, Kelly, Solange, and Mo’Nique for “Get Me Bodied.” Best performance of the night by far. And Kelly Rowland is officially out of Beyoncé’s shadow. Get it, Ms. Kelly.
• T.I. wins Best Hip-Hop Artist. Well deserved. He apologized for the fight on Sunday … and then plugged his album.
• Robin Thicke. Zzzzz…
• Kelis, Mary J., T.I. all got car commercials. Who’s next? Maybe Brandy?
• Patti LaBelle looking like Shrek.

Ugh i hate Roccsi’ dress, Terrence looks good… EVE should not perform lookin like that with K-RO, her hair is a hot mess… made me cringe… but overall the only decent red carpet perofrmance was from Lloyd, and that was alright… hmmm, I hope the show is better, it always is…

50 Cents performance was not planned like that, he was supposed to rap the first verse…but where was it? They messed up and got the instrumental. Which is why he stalled and walked around the audience..shaking Snoops hand and shit. BET messed him up.

I hated the intro of the show….Ciara got the show Crunk as hell. Beyonce always hot and rememberable performances. T.I. hottest performance. I liked Ne-Yo and Fabolous. Mo’Nique was better two years ago. She did her thang though.
