Entertainment Weekly had a chance to hear Jay-Z’s concept album American Gangster (Nov. 6) last Friday. According to them, the album sounds like a “Jay-Z fan’s dream come true.” Some interesting notes:
• Diddy (!!!) produced several tracks on the album including “Pray and “No Hook.”
• Jermaine Dupri did two cuts (”When the Money’s Gone” and “Fallen”).
• Beanie Sigel (”Ignorant Shit”) and Bilal (”Fallen”) are guests on the album.
• DJ Toomp (”Say Hello to the Bad Guy”) and No I.D. (”Success”) contributed a couple songs.
• “Blue Magic” may appear as an unlisted bonus track.
• Jay is still considering including a song that samples Marvin Gaye.
Check out the track-by-track preview here.

Diddy didn’t really produce anything, his hitmakers team produced the joints, all Diddy did is sign the checks. Either way, I can’t wait for this album to drop, its going to be sick!
