World Music Awards 2007: The Show
The World Music Awards 2007 were held in Monte Carlo today. Rihanna was named entertainer of the year, as well as best-selling pop female artist. She performed “Umbrella” during the show.
Akon picked up three awards for best-selling R&B male artist, best-selling African Artist, and best-selling Internet artist. “You are the witnesses to seeing me receive any kind of award for music for the first time in my life,” he told the audience.
