BET held their inaugural BET Honors in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. Honorees included Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks, Time Warner board chairman Richard D. Parsons, and Princeton professor Cornel West. Performers included John Legend, Wyclef Jean and Niia, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder.
According to USA Today, Michael Jackson was a scheduled guest/honoree, but he pulled out of the event. Ne-Yo was left performing for Jackson without his idol being in the audience.
The show airs February 22nd at 8 p.m. on BET. More red carpet photos below. For more information, visit BET.com.

Are these the people that are being honored ? If so BET should be ashamed of themselves. The only one there that I like is Alicia but she doesn’t deserve any honors YET. What am I saying? How can I expect BET to get it right?
