Janet Jackson’s ‘Discipline’ Lands at #1 According to Billboard, Janet Jackson’s tenth studio album Discipline will debut at #1 on next week’s Billboard charts with 181,000 copies sold. Discipline is Janet’s first #1 album since 2001’s All For You, but the lowest first-week sales of her career. 1997’s The Velvet Rope (202,000) previously held that title. In other chart news, Erykah Badu’s New Amerykah Part One (4th World War) enters at #2 with 124,000. yes, the sales arent that great, but dont forget the times… she sold over 50 000 more than the number 2
i know, alicia k. sold wway more in her first week but she did get great promo
and i dont know why, but janet does not get the promo she used to get
she gets boycotted by radio stations

Why is it that you simple can’t just give the woman her props. She is number 1 for god sake and she has worked hard to get there. Sure the numbers may seem low to you but in an age of down loads, file sharing, and people coping each others music, she had done very well. Janet Jackson is a music ICOn and the fact you or any one else would want to piss on her glory at a time like this only make us as readers think your either an iodt or have little respect for real music. With so much crap on the radio i think you have forgotten what a good artist can do or maybe you never knew. As for Janet baby girl live in the moment, keep talking about sex as long as you have the body and the looks to pull it off.
