“Closer” is the new dance single off Ne-Yo’s third album Year of the Gentleman. “I’m trying to take it back to where you couldn’t walk out of the house unless you looked your best,” the singer/songwriter recently told MTV News.

i like ne-yo. i like the song. but to me is not him. it sound like it should be on a soundtck or Janet’s album. its not somethin u would hear from him…thats wat i dont like

what do u mean it’s not somethig u wld hear from him but janet, who made u the judge here, who is to tell him what he shld sing or what he shld not, hmm, he sings rnb and pop, a lil’ rap too, so who says he can’t get away with singing this, leave him alone, if he wants he can release every three days, the most ipmt thing is dat he sells records, he won a grammy and his albums have gone platinum, stop the hating, he is making all the money, jeez u aint making any, quit while u r ahead. Ne-Yo is very talented, i wonder y’all can’t see that, y do u have to hate, it is not easy doling out hits after hits, kudos to all the artists out there, a lot is expected from them and nobody is cutting them an slacks, damn it aint easy been the best, u know, they all aspire to get there and make a living while they are at it, at least it better than stealing
