PEOPLE reports that Beyoncé wed Jay-Z on Friday in a private ceremony in New York City.

Though there is no official confirmation, a friend of the couple says, “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair—close friends and family.”

The ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Congrats to Jay and B on finally making it official!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z will reportedly tie the knot today in New York City. According to “The Insider,” the intimate event is being held for about 30 of the couple’s closest friends and family in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. The theme is white and the number four, a shared birthday number between Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

Lupe Fiasco and Colby O’Donis are the latest artists to release acoustic versions of their hit songs.

Lupe did a remix to “Superstar” with T.I. and Young Jeezy, but now the rapper has stripped down his hit with an acoustic version. Lupe performed this song with Matthew Santos on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

R&B singer Colby O’Donis’ single “What You Got” is currently No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Akon’s newest artist recorded an unplugged rendition of the song, which is just as good as the original. His album is due out this summer.
