50 Cent’s record deal with Interscope Records is set to expire after his next solo album. There are reports that 50 is in negotiations to sign a record-breaking deal with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, a deal that would surpass Jay-Z’s recent $150 million Live Nation deal.

The deal would give News Corp. a stake in 50’s music, concerts, books, website, and label G-Unit Records. Artists signed to G-Unit would move to News Corp.’s MySpace Records. Some reports say the deal could be valued at $300 million, which would make 50 one of News Corp.’s biggest shareholders.

50 Cent’s final Interscope album Before I Self-Destruct is scheduled for a fall release.
