Lil Wayne performed on BET’s “Blueprint.” He did his verse from Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know” as well as “Tha Block Is Hot, “Leather So Soft,” and his first No. 1 “Lollipop.”
For those that have heard Weezy’s Tha Carter III, what do you think of it? Did it live up to the hype?
I really like tha Carter III, but it\\\’s got a few weak moments. To use the Source system I\\\’d give it a solid 4 mics. Like, I really like the long track Dontgetit where Wayne rambles on and on, puffing some weed and coughing. You can hear him lighting the lighter on the track and inhaling, but at the end, after saying some pretty deep stuff about race, drug dealing and politics in the middle he goes off on this long tirade at Al Sharpton. I mean, I\\\’m no fan of Sharpton\\\’s, but I foresee skipping to next track a lot.
