I’m super-excited about this project. As soon as I heard “God Given Name” some months back I thought to myself, “Solange is really killin’ this”. Shorty there after, other material from the project began to surface and I’ve liked everything that i’ve heard thus far. Solange is really coming into her own, and I think everyone is beginning to take notice. From her style, to her musical bravery, ackward harmonies, everything about her is innovative and fresh. She’s out of the box and complex, yet it’s somethin’ about what she’s doing that so familiar. The combination is just right.
