On July 15th, MTV will air “From G’s to Gents,” a new show produced by Jamie Foxx, which takes 15 young G’s from across the country with great potential under their rough exterior and polishes them up. Hosted by Fonzworth Bentley (known for his umbrella holding days as Diddy’s personal assistant), the men will be schooled on how to lose the front, focus their passion, and market themselves. Taking lessons in everything from style and grace, etiquette, chivalry, and business skills, the men will see that with the right tools every G has the ability to find respect, realize their self-worth, and graduate from G to true Gentleman.

The G’s will move into a posh mansion (known as “The Gentleman’s Club”) in the Hollywood Hills where they will meet their celebrity host Fonzworth Bentley and immediately be appraised on how they represent now—and what they want to represent in the future. Over the course of the hour-long, ten episode series, the men will be tested on how well (and willingly) they absorb the lessons of all that is “Gentleman.” The G that makes it to the end of the competition will win a cash prize and the chance to make their dreams a reality. Ultimately G’s will not change who they are at their core, but learn to utilize their identity and passions to their fullest potential. With that transformation, they will show the world their true value.

“From G’s to Gents” premieres Tuesday, July 15th at 10 p.m. on MTV.
