before listening to the track I bet everyone automatically is gonna assume that Mary Bodies ciara on her own track Right? Well it’s the complete opposite.
Ciara’s vocals are point! & Mary’s are not great at all.

Both songs are an example of a mature woman\’s take on a song, and a young mature woman\’s understanding of the song. Mary\’s version is far more mature, vocally and tone wise; whereas Ciara\’s is more light, sweet, and whimsical. I like Ciara\’s version a lot more, it just has a sweeter sound.

That has to be the same person writing over and over again cause Ciara\’s version was terrible compared to Mary J.\’s. Ciara is a horrible singer and should never have tried to sing a slow song in the first place. Her voice is more suited for expensive producers to hide behind their overproduced beats. Timbaland would enjoy working with Ciara…

Um MJB did waaaay better than Ciara. With Mary, its soulful, tender fulfilling. Ciara is light and while it is still good I could put Mary\\\’s shit on my slow grooves and get into the song…not so much with Ciara.

I think both of the versions are good. But to come to her defense, if you compare the two versions you will notice that Mary\’s version has not been mastered, meaning that no effects have been applied. The most that was done to this track is leveling the volume on each recorded track. Basically saying that is raw talent, she can blow. But no doubt Cici version is fire too. I can\’t wait to go cop that, when it comes out.

Honestly you can really make a good decision unless you hear Mary’s version mixed. Her version is obviously not mixed. It sounds like a demo made for fun that was leaked by somebody. For that reason I would say I like Ciara’s better, but there’s no need to disrespect either artist… one.

I;ve been answering this question on every blog I can see, but honestly i like them both, but Ciara hands down is better. I love MJB but her voice doesn\’t fit this song.
