Ne-Yo Plans Comebacks for Whitney Houston & Michael Jackson

Ne-Yo has big plans for two music legends. The acclaimed singer/songwriter is penning songs for Whitney Houston’s and Michael Jackson’s highly anticipated comeback albums. The 25-year-old spoke to Rap-Up.com about his role in bringing the two superstars back into the spotlight.

“It’s coming along slowly, but surely. They’re being very selective about what they keep, which they’re supposed to be. These are two very important albums. It’s the one that’s going to bring Whitney back and the one that’s going to take all the attention off of [Michael Jackson's] personal life, hopefully, and put people back in the mindstate of why they love Michael in the first place,” Ne-Yo said backstage at a recent taping of “FNMTV” in Hollywood.

The hitmaker also shared his advice on how the King of Pop can stage a successful comeback. “The entertainment side—the way he dances, the way he sings, and him being one of the greatest entertainers that got put on the stage—bring people back in that mind frame and away from thinking about when his last surgery was or if he still has the monkey or whatever the hell it is. He’s still Michael Jackson.”

Ne-Yo will release his third studio album Year of the Gentleman on September 16th. Both Houston’s and Jackson’s albums do not currently have release dates.

    I really love whitney and michael(been a fan ALL my life), I hope they both have 2 of the biggest comebacks in music history, theyr’e legends and they both deserve it. I cannot wait to buy the CD’S………whit and Michael 4EVA :-)

    I hope it works out for the both of them. Ne-Yo most def can deliver hits. Although I am not a fan of his music or writing, I know he will deliver for them.

    I just want Michael to dance. Dance. Show them how it’s done. Thriller 25 sold so much.

    I don’t think Whitney’s “leaked” track with Akon had enough buzz, so I hope they can create something refreshing.

    I hope that NE-YO can bring Michael & Whitney huge hits to add on to the many hits these two legends already have. The songs have to have signature sounds people are used to because you can’t erase the sound that made them famous in the fist place. Also MJ & WH would have to promote the songs by performing live on stage, TV, & the web. In my opinion that’s why Madonna, Prince, U2, & Tony Bennett are still successful selling albums & doing live shows.

    I am a Whitney Houston #1 fan and I never gave up on her.We all hav eour ups and downs and she did not go through anything but life and that\’s what we are all doing. Whitney I love you and I would some day like to tell you that in person. You still my #1 Diva.I have your South Africa Concert the tribute to Mandela and that is the way I will always remember you.
    I am also a big Michael Jackson fan and he to has been hit with lifes battles.I know I will probably never meet him but Michael I love you too!! You and Whitney will always be #1 in my book! And to you NE-YO \
