New Music: Rihanna vs. PCD – ‘Tide is High’

Kardinal Offishall has recorded two versions of his song “Numba 1 (Tide is High).” One features Rihanna and the other features the Pussycat Dolls. The Rihanna mix is the one that will appear on Kardinal’s album Not 4 Sale (Sept. 9).

    While I love both Rihanna and the PCD,Rihanna does a much better job on the hook in this song.

    lol at Rihanna doing a better job than PCD. I don’t like either though. Why anyone would want to sample the Tide is High is beyond me.

    I prefer PCD coz their voice is much better than Rihanna. They\’re so sweet :) And I hate Rihanna.

    Surprisingly, i liked Rihanna\’s version better. Her voice just sounded more right for the song. Nicole, i mean the PCD, just sounded too plain.

    The Pussycat Dolls (aka Nicole Scherzinger) sounds SO mUCH BETTER!!!!!… This song is NOT made for Rihanna!. Her voice is horrible!.
    Nicole (AND MELODY, who can be hear on the track too) sing it PERFECTLY. They are so much better than Rihanna.

    PCD for sure!!! Nicole Scherzinger is pinay,hot & sings better than Rihanna no doubt.
    But it wouldn\\\’t mind if I could be with both of them haha.

    IF THE PCD VERSION WAS THE FINAL VERSION, THE LABEL SHOULD JUST PUT ‘TIDE IS HIGH FEATURING NICOLE SCHERZINGER’.

    Rihanna all day! PCD never sings, just Nicole and she is not even that good. Must be why her solo career fell flat.

    She rode the track much better and plus the island feel of the hook fits the Barbados native anyway.

    PCD is better than Rihanna. Nicole and the other girls have a great voice. Rihanna can’t sing, just try…….but she can’t. PCD THE BEST!!!!! Rihanna the worst!!!!!!!!!!

    bitch please, Nicole Scherzinger (The lead singer of PCD) is a way better singer than Ri-bloody-hanna and the only reason Rihanna has been so sucessful is because of crappy songs and label promotion. What is Kardinal thinking?! Rihanna and her big forehead should go do the nasty to Chris Brown

    PCD does it better, this is more a pop song than Rihanna material (although she also did a nice job).
    Regardless I think this song blows and should stay in the attic record collection

    U cant compare it saying one is better than the other.
    RiRi Pros:
    Very passionate and with good vocals, I actually feel the track, its more an R&B song.

    PCD Pros:
    Very sweet and soft, I relax with the song, more a Pop song.

    This is personal, so I dont think everyone is going to think the same. Though I luv both artists RiRi has the top spot in my ranking and PCD the third.
