From Lil Wayne bringing out Leona Lewis for “Don’t Get It” to T.I. performing our new favorite song “Live Your Life” with Rihanna to Kid Rock rocking out to “All Summer Long” with Weezy to Kanye West closing the show by singing his new single, the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards were full of surprises.

Rihanna was a dull as watching paint dry! when will people wake up the fact that she wears nice clothes and thats it! NO MORE NO LESS!! singing and performing are not her forte, but getting a nice haircut is!

She\’s a dolly for the designers and thats it, she\’s has 3 albums thats enough torture for the worlds ears, RIHANNA please go somewhere and sit down!

Rap-Up you guys posted pics of the best performances. If it weren\’t for Lil Wayne, Rihanna, P!nk, T.I. or Christina I would have fell asleep. The whole show was BORING.

I was disapointed with Rihanna’s performance, she has no stage presence. That could have been an incredible performance but as usual, it seems the backup dancers did most of the work. I loved T.I.’s performance with her though, that song is gonna be big.

Honestly, Britney stole the show for me and she didn’t even perform. She took home her first (now three) moonmen and looked incredible doing it.

rap-up isn\’t the song that leona sang with lil wayne called \’dont get it\’??? anyways i luved Lil wayne with leona & a milli but him & t-pain didn\’t dig that was weird how they were dancing too eachother lol , T.I. was HOT luv Live your life but rihannas singing live is questionable hate disturbia & Pink was good & so happy for britney!!

Honestly, the VMAS were boring to say the least! I’m convinced they gave Britney those awards to strategically replace her shitty performance from last year. And it was so obvious because they focused so much on her this year for no reason. Fav performance would have to be TI and Rihanna.

yeah Rihanna is fly, no doubt….and that’s about it.
I loveeee lil wayne, but too me Leona Lewis made his performance. I still dont understand how T Pain makes millions by simply singing into a voicebox. shitt, some one needs to sign me asap then.

but overall the VMA’s were boring…i can’t remember the last time I liked the VMAs.

Best performances were:
T.I. feat Rihanna -Rihanna needed T.I. for a good performance. props to T.I.

Pink- Bad ass performance. Girl\’s got real talent. Can sing R n B along with pop AND rock. (remember her first album, can\’t take me home?)

Lil Wayne – Liked it. he was fly.

Paramore – that red headed girl, haley, had solid vocals.

Worst:

RIHANNA – ooooo disturbia started out sooo cool….til her voice aka the goat started singing. I wish she had lipped the whole performance in trade of better stage presence and dance moves. the dancers and production showed up and showed off for that performance. Rihanna didnt. disappointment.

Christina – we all know she can sing. but the song was lower-class mediocre at best, and she lip-synched the entire thing with almost no real dancing. SHE even seemed mad at herself. i know i was.

Britney was looking great. props to her.

PS – I wish nicole scherzinger of the pussycat dolls would let someone else talk.

The VMAs were better compared to last year. Russell Brand lost me after Obama ‘08 though.

Britney- I can’t NOT believe she has never won a award before! I mean, she deserved those awards much earlier rather than now. She looked great too.

Christina-Brit stile the show and didn’t even perform but she did. I think no one is checking for her but anyway I loved it! The song is great and the performance was too. If she lip-synched who cares we all know the girl got chops!

Rihanna-HOT MESS. Everything was ready alls he ahd to do was SING. She ruined her own performance. But the T.I one was better.

T.I-GREAT! I though he would get mad when Jamie Foxx amde that joke about him.

Leona, Lil Wayne, T-Pain-AMAZING. Leona with Lil Wayne? She got street cred now. I loved it. T-Pain was great too. Lil Wayne on Kid Rock’s song was amazing.

Kid Rock-I enjoyed it! I kind of liked that song!

Jonas Brothers-Wish they performed Burnin Up. But they were great.

Pink-LOVED it! She is great!

Paramore-TORE IT UP. The lead singer was jumping around and was still able to sing, hows that Rihanna?

Kanye-I found myself connected to this one. He did great the people in the back and his voice. I love this song. But 4th album now? A little too soon!

I thought Rihanna did okay.

I think she definitely did better on T.I\’s song.

But whyy was T.I. lip singing what ever you like??

Rappers ain’t suppose to lip sing!

Kanye was alright.

I don\’t really like the song, but it might grow on me!
