Mariah Carey has relieved Benny Medina as her full-time talent manager. According to E! Online, Medina’s Handprint Entertainment will continue to develop content for projects including Carey’s upcoming tour, an HBO Christmas movie, and a variety music show for CBS.
“Benny Medina and I will continue to work together on projects both present and in the future. I’m looking forward to working with Benny on what we have been developing, and to his continued involvement in my creative life,” the singer said in a statement.
Carey’s own Maroon Entertainment will be managing her career.
Medina, who has been working with Carey for over five years, recently parted ways with Usher and Tyra Banks.

“an HBO Christmas movie”?
I wonder what’s up with Medina losing his clients? …
Good luck to Mrs. Cannon, it doesn’t seem smart though..

This is good she doesn\’t have to do want managment wants her to do. Mariah can do whats best for her. It is good to be your own boss and manager. Nothing is better than making your own decisions. No one knows how you want your business manage but yourself. They have made some bad decisions lately its time for her to take over.I believe she will do great.

I have read quite a bit of interviews of people whom Mariah have worked with and they all claim that she’s a smart business woman. Who knows? She’s probably taking time off after the E=MC2 tour to enjoy the married life and start a family. Kudos to her.

If anyone knows the business it\’s MC. She is a musical genius regardless what people have to say. Whether you\’re a fan or not, you have to admit that she knows what she\’s doing. 18 #1 songs. A manager doesn\’t make that happen, she did.
