Quincy Jones tells FOX News that he’s working on a Michael Jackson tribute album scheduled for release next spring. About two dozen hip-hop and R&B stars are recording Jones’ songs for the compilation, which will include a collaboration between Usher and John Mayer.
“We’re trying to set up something for Mariah Carey now,” said the legendary producer behind Jackson’s Thriller and Bad albums.
As of now, Jackson has no plans to participate in the project.

Excuse me but Fox news did not report that Quincy Jones was working on a Michael Jackson tribute album. Its a Quincy Jones Tribute album. This is what the article said:
Quincy Jones is not going to help Michael Jackson make a new album.
The legendary producer of “Thriller” and “Bad,” Jackson’s two most successful collections, tells me he’s concentrating on a big tribute collection set for next spring. About two dozen hip and R&B stars are recording Jones’ songs for the compilation.

Who care about a tribute album composed of other singers. If it ain\’t MJ, it ain\’t good. I remember watching singers showing up at MJ anniversary in New York and they try to sing some of MJ\’s songs…man that was weak…i just skip through it.
