Brandy is the latest artist to see her album pushed back. Her fifth studio LP Human will now hit stores and digital retailers on December 9th where she will face competition from 50 Cent, Ciara, Common, Busta Rhymes, and Keri Hilson. Human had previously been scheduled for a November 11th release. See our Fall 2008 release schedule with updated dates.

With so many releases on the same day and the industry’s condition right now, at least one of these albums is going to be pushed back for sure. But who?

Why pushing it back when this is going to flop anyway… :(
I’m not a HATER but that’s a FACT!!!

LMAO@THE HATERS WANTING BRANDY TO FLOP.
HUMAN IS THEM MOST ANTICIPATED ALBUM BY AN R&B SINGER THIS YEAR. ALSO, THE LABEL IS SUPPORTING HER 100% & MASSIVE PROMOTION THIS FALL.
LOOK OUT FOR HER 2ND SINGLE “LONG DISTANCE” TO PREIMERE NEXT WEDNESDAY ON HER WEBSITE.

amazon was the same site that said Brandy had a intro on afrodisiac and she didn\’t..So i\’ll wait for Brandy’s confirmation

What you don’t realize is that its the label that makes these decisions, not the artist … so the artist may not be the first to know

I think this is a mistake, on the label’s part. Why would they pick a release date where there is so much competition? They have to release another single before the album release because even though “Right Here (Departed)” is great song, it’s going nowhere on the charts.
Dec 2nd seems to be reserved for Britney, nobody wants go go against her!

Brandy’s album is not getting pushed back. The album will be released on November 11th. I don’t care what amazon says. (I don’t think Amazon is a valid website anyway). It’s not offcial until the artist, themselves, confirm the change. Until then, the album will be released on November 11th!!!

I dont know, i dont think its smart for these artist to all drop on the same day – ESPECIALLY cuz of the industrys condition.. I see Ciara or Brandy topN the charts tho

after waiting 4 years for any new album from such a beautiful, gifted singer, woman and mother, any push-back by the label should be met with scorn and boycott of their products. i for one, buy the cds for collection (haven\’t figured out downloads yet) although the 11th of Nov is a day for honoring and rememberance of our fallen warriors, that doesn\’t preclude the release of albums by artists. carry on.

BOO! I’ve been waiting for this.
November 4th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
URGH! I have desperately been waiting for this album and having to hold out another month does not make me very happy, but… I am pleased so far with the singles I have heard. They have reassured me that she is still as fly as she was 4 yrs ago. I am HIGHLY aticipating this release, as I’m sure is anyone who has any real knowledge about quality RnB music. We’ve waited, and we will have to continue to wait…
p.s. Full Moon should’ve won a Grammy.
