Lupe Fiasco recently announced that his third studio album, LupE.N.D., will be his last. In his hometown of Chicago on Friday night, the rapper revealed that his final album will be a three-disc set divided among the letters E, N, and D. The “E” in LupE.N.D. stands for Everywhere, the “N” for Nowhere, and the “D” for Down Here. The album is scheduled for release next year.
“I just don’t really feel like rapping anymore,” Lupe told Rap-Up.com at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in September.

This is sad day in Hip Hop. We are losing such a great talent. This just proves that Hip Hop is no longer what it used to be. Now its just about Money, Drugs and Club songs. Lupe was a rapper that brought a whole new vibe to the game and but he was basically ignored because his music wasn\’t about money, drugs, clubs etc. I kind of understand why he is going to stop. If I was him, I would probably do the same thing. Sad thing that one of my favorite rappers has dropped the mic.
Yeah i understand why hes gonna stop its because his albums havent sold what they diserved to sell. Hes one of the most underrated Hip Hop artists and good quality music is being put out but people just wanna hear this bubble gum crap on the radio!
I was and am a huge fan of Lupe. Ive loved just about everything he has brought to the table so you know Im looking forward to LupEND. Hip Hop doesnt have the flair it once did. That excitment of new artists dropping. Listening to what artists have to say. Now you pretty much know what an artist will say and talk about. Its very bland. Lupe offered us this spice to an extent.
The only thing i dont like about this is that it seems like everyone has to announce their retirement from the game. With only 2 albums in (LupEND being the 3rd) do we really need an announcement? What do you think?
This will be his last album but as some of you may know he is starting a group with Kanye and Pharell called CRS with the only single i know of called “US placers.” I also read, but I don’t know that validity of this, that he will be making new songs that can only be heard at his concerts.
So, this is not the end of Lupe, he is just reinventing himself.
