Usher’s “One Night Stand” tour made its stop in Los Angeles Wednesday night. The newest addition to downtown L.A.’s makeover, the Nokia Theatre’s Club Nokia at L.A. Live, opened its doors to Usher fans for the intimate “Ladies Only” show.

Usher hit the stage in a custom-designed Dsquared2 wardrobe, which included everything from suave, sophisticated tuxedos to silk pajamas and slippers, performing about 20 songs. An all-white piano accompanied the smooth operator on the dimly lit, smoky stage for about half the show, where he not only sat and performed, but also serenaded a lucky fan from the audience.

Getting her on stage was no easy task, as Usher went through three other women until he found the “right one.” The ladies before her claimed to be his No. 1 fan, but did not know the answer to his trivia questions and were carried off stage by the singer. One young lady was a little too young and Usher jokingly stated, “Another R&B artist got in trouble for that.”

The superstar paid tribute to some of his biggest inspirations, performing hits from Marvin Gaye, Prince, and Al Green. Usher wasn’t the only R&B heartthrob in the house, as former B2K member Omarion showed up to watch his friend perform, and actress Lauren London was also in attendance.

Usher’s “One Night Stand” came to an end with his upbeat hit “Caught Up,” and judging by the screams, everyone left satisfied.
