Lil’ Kim is making a return to music videos, albeit not her own.
The Queen Bee will go behind the lens for “Girls” (listen below), the debut U.S. single from Korean pop star Se7en. Kim is featured on the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced track. The video will be directed by Rage in Los Angeles on Monday. Darkchild is also set to make a cameo.
Lil’ Kim is currently in the studio working on her fifth album scheduled for release next year.
This is great news! I love this song and Lil’ Kim kills on it. Wasn’t expecting an Asian dude to be singing on the track, but he has a really great tone of voice and is representing. At first I thought Se7en was actually Channel 7 (aka 7 Aurelius, Donnie Klang’s Producer) singing the song. I’m definitely gonna cop his album if it’s indicative of this pop meet hip-hop sound!
I think this song is very fun to listen to
I like the digital voice enhancement because its neither too much or too little.
Thank you RAP UP! For covering Korean artists
you are helping people like us finally crossover to America
the Latinos and Blacks literally own popular music, I think the time is now for Asians to finally get some quality music here :)
He’s got the voice (that’s not to be argued about), he’s got the moves (sexy and full of energy), he’s got the looks (he’s just drop-dead gorgeous) and he doesn’t ever lip sync. Having said that, Se7en will have to succeed in-spite of “lil kim’ and a O.K. song.
There’s no comparison to his previous exceptional work. Check out I Know, Passion, Lala, Crazy, I’ll Do Well, etc. I’ll still buy and support his album here and I’m not Asian, Latino or Black. Some us White girls love him too.
