Flo Rida Goes Back to ‘R.O.O.T.S.’ on Second LP

Flo Rida had the Billboard charts on smash in 2008 with his breakout single “Low,” and the Grammy-nominated rapper has no plans to go the way of one-hit wonders with his forthcoming sophomore album.

The No. 1 digital artist of 2008 will release his second effort R.O.O.T.S. this spring on Atlantic Records. The title is an acronym for Routes of Overcoming the Struggle. The follow-up to 2008’s Mail on Sunday will feature production from J Rock, Dr. Luke, and DJ Montay, the man behind “Low.”

R.O.O.T.S.’ first single, the irresistible “Round Round,” samples Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” Listen below.

Is the girl in the song Katy Perry? It makes sense since the song sounds like it was produced by Dr. Luke.

The girl is “Kesha” a new upcoming artist signed to Warner Bros US. She’s good friends with Katy Perry, can be seen in the “I Kissed A Girl” vid, did backing vocals on Britney’s “Lace & Leather” and wrote “This Love” with Tony Gad for The Veronicas.

    She is seriously talented.

Is this some kind of joke?

Flo Rida can do better than this trash.
