Cash Money to Host Grammy Bash for Lil Wayne
Cash Money Records will celebrate Lil Wayne’s eight Grammy nominations with an extravagant bash in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Saturday.
The bottles will be popping as Cash Money throws its first annual pre-Grammy party honoring Lil Wayne at the Montage Beverly Hills. The Mardi Gras-themed event will pay homage to Wayne’s hometown of New Orleans. The formal affair is reportedly being planned by Colin Cowie, the celebrity planner behind events for Oprah Winfrey.
The rap superstar is scheduled to perform his Hurricane Katrina-inspired song “Tie My Hands” at the Grammy ceremony the following night, February 8, from Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
Lil Wayne is nominated for eight Grammys including Album of the Year. He will release his first rock album Rebirth on April 7.
