Chris Brown was arrested and booked into the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department over allegations of domestic violence battery.
The R&B heartthrob posted bail of $50,000 and was released on Sunday at 8:35 p.m. He was accompanied by attorney Mark Geragos, who has represented high-profile clients including Michael Jackson.
The 19-year-old singer is under investigation for an alleged domestic violence felony battery that occurred on early Sunday morning near Hancock Park. Some reports claim Brown’s girlfriend Rihanna was involved. Her publicist didn’t elaborate, but said she is “well.”
Both artists canceled their performances at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles earlier tonight. They appeared together at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party on Saturday evening, shortly before the incident occurred.Tweet
