Rap-Up.com || Breaking: Chris Brown Issues Statement

Chris Brown is breaking his silence for the first time since allegations surfaced that he assaulted Rihanna, 20, in Los Angeles. A spokesman on behalf of Brown released the following statement on Sunday.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

The 19-year-old pop star was arrested on Feb. 8 and may face charges from the Los Angeles District Attorney.

Look, no one knows what the true story is as of yet. One thing I can say tho, my father did raise me not hit a female HOWEVER….a man is only gonna take so many lick from a female til she has deemed herself capable of being able to accept the consequences of that man knocking her out or kicking her ass. I’m against hitting women and all, but what get’s to me is, that there are women out there who believe women are equal to men (i dont disagree with that), and can b!tch about how R. Kelly ruined ‘If i were a boy’ with a remix, but then cry over a man hitting a women.
I know there isn’t mcuh of a link between them two points, but what i’m saying is, how can you say you believe in Women being equal to Man, but also believe in Man not hitting Women. That sort of conctradicts itself. Why is it un-equal for a man to hit a woman, if Women are equal to Man ? I know i dont believe in Men hitting Women, so in that respect, yeah, i am sort of a hypocrit. Also, why is it so different for a Woman to hit a Man ? I know that happens out in the world somewhere, but i dont see anyone complaining about that ?
The way i see the case is, Brown hit a SISTER or a COISIN or a DAUGHTER. It’s not about Rihanna being a woman or not, its that someone hit someone else’s daughter/etc.
I think it’s been blown out of proportion to look at it as Man hitting Women. Some of you people have forgotten that it’s about Rihanna, who we CARE about.
