Beyoncé has wrapped two more videos for the third simultaneous singles off her latest album I Am… Sasha Fierce.
Pop radio will get “Broken-Hearted Girl” from her I Am… disc, while Sasha Fierce’s “Ego” will be released to urban stations. The pop star has already recorded a remix to the latter with Kanye West.
Beyoncé co-directed a video for “Ego” with her choreographer. “My goal for [the ‘Ego’ video] is simplicity,” she tells EW. “In ‘Single Ladies,’ I saw this old tape of Bob Fosse’s wife, and I used that as inspiration. I thought in this world, with all the technology and everything that’s going on, to strip everything down—great idea. So I kind of did the same thing, but glossy and black, for ‘Ego.'”
Don’t expect to see the famous “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” animatronic hand in the “Ego” clip though. “I didn’t have the Sasha Fierce hand [in the video],” she laughs. “But I have it on the tour. It’s actually even more wild—I have to figure out how I’m going to perform with that hand!”
Beyoncé will embark on the European leg of her I Am… world tour in late April.
