Rap-Up.com || Exclusive: Meagan Good Prepping Debut Album

In between grueling days on set of her film projects, Hollywood starlet Meagan Good has been secretly hitting the recording studio.

The sexy star of Stomp the Yard and Saw V exclusively reveals to Rap-Up.com that she’s preparing her first album. “I’ve been recording some stuff here and there—just experimenting, really focusing on getting up to par vocally,” she tells us.

The 27-year-old actress has been working with a vocal coach and has even logged studio time with hitmaker The-Dream. “I worked with Dream like two months ago.”

The MTV Movie Award nominee is not taking the typical R&B route with her debut. “I’m going for a more pop sound, actually. I did some stuff with some lesser-known producers.”

No stranger to the music world, Good has appeared in videos for 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” and Memphis Bleek’s “Do My.”

She is currently unsigned, but is already in talks with labels. No release date for the project has been set.

Honestly, anyone can get a deal with a hot enough song all she needs is autotune, but she will never sell crazy records to really make a living nomatter how big the song is, she will never really have real respect as a singer. Sad, whatever ever happened to all our real singers……….i’m at this label signing bullshit! I’m tired of the non singers as well. I’m a 19 y.o male trying to get in the game, raised in the church been singing since I was 3 and because this indusrty has been saturated with non singers its been that much harder to make it in the game. Smh! I really miss the days when we had groups like Boys ll Men, New Edition, singers like Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Lionel Richie, real female vocalists like Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Donna Summers, Celine Dion. Wtf happened to this industry. Where’s the real inspiration and people to look up 2. Its sad. Thankfully I grew up around real music because people in my generation don’t know what it is.
