Kanye West Charged Over Pap Scuffle
Kanye West has been charged with three crimes—misdemeanor battery, grand theft, and vandalism—after his run-in with a paparazzo last year.
The Los Angeles City Attorney has charged West with breaking the flash accessory on a photographer’s still camera at L.A.X. on September 11, 2008.
His manager Don Crowley has also been charged with two counts of vandalism, two counts of battery, and two counts of grand theft for destroying a video camera and a still camera.
The celebrity website TMZ shot video of the altercation as it happened.
West faces two-and-a-half years in jail if convicted. Crowley could get five years. Both men are scheduled to be arraigned on April 14.
