Chilli and Teyana Taylor

staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud attended Dasani’s Ultimate Style and Beauty Lounge this past Friday at the Townhouse Spa in NYC. TLC’s Chilli, Dasani’s new spokesperson, hosted the luxurious event to honor legendary black model agent Bethann Hardison and BET president Debra Lee. Women got their nails done with complimentary manicures, pedicures, massages, facials, and makeup applications throughout the day.

Over strawberries and bottled water, Chilli revealed her initial reaction when Dasani approached her to rep one of nature’s greatest gifts: “You don’t even understand. I was so excited. I was beside myself because Coca-Cola is such an amazing company. It’s a company that’s been around since before I was born. And to be the face for water—they’ve never had a face for water!” Barely able to contain her excitement, she continued with a hefty laugh. “And an African-American at that?” she said in disbelief. “That meant so much to me and I was really happy that they gave me the opportunity. I was elated. And then to be able to work with my son? That was like the cherry on top.”

While the lounge was set to be a relaxing atmosphere, it was more of a hustle and bustle. Shutters clicked, camera lights flashed, and folks flocked to be as close as possible to all of the powerful women in the room. Teyana Taylor was in attendance along with Yolanda White, assistant vice president of African-American marketing at Coca-Cola, as well as Dr. Michelle Callahan. “Harlem Heights” cast members Ashley and Kelly were also spotted.

As the songstress flashed her pearly whites for everyone in attendance, another physical attribute was hard to deny: her flawless skin. “I know this is gonna sound real cheesy, but I really do drink Dasani water all the time,” Chilli admitted. “That and milk. I don’t drink alcohol or soda and I don’t smoke.”

So what’s on the horizon for our favorite TLC member? “Eventually, I see myself as CEO of a record label,” she said with an air of confidence. “Getting back to artist development, getting things back to where they used to be. I see that in the future.”
