JoJo Simmons on Weed Bust: ‘I’m Alright’
JoJo Simmons, son of the legendary Rev. Run and star of “Run’s House,” was arrested on Friday for weed possession.
According to TMZ, the Run-DMC frontman’s 19-year-old son was allegedly buying marijuana and rolling a joint while sitting in a car in New York City. He reportedly tried to get away by reversing his vehicle and nearly backed into a police officer’s car.
The younger Simmons, born Joseph Simmons Jr., was booked for resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
“I’m alright everybody!” JoJo wrote on his Twitter page on Saturday evening.
Earlier in the day, his sisters Angela and Vanessa Simmons were throwing out the first pitch at the Dodgers game in Los Angeles.
“As humans we all make mistakes. They make up your life lessons and experiences,” his eldest sister Vanessa tweeted. “JoJo is ok, he just made a[n] oops.”
The sixth season of MTV’s “Run’s House” is scheduled to premiere this summer.

ok whoever said drink all you want is a fuckin dumbass. how many fatalities are cause by smoking weed, and how many by drinking. Weed can be used to fight cancer, alcohol can be used to act fucking stupid. Weed doesn’t make you violent, you can make better judgment calls with it. basically i think that if you drink and put down weed, your a stupid fuckin hipacrit.

hay i jus wanted to say that ,that is natural and no it should not be forgotten but that you can’t really just say that he is dumb for smoking weed. that was one of his addition and i don’t think any one should look down on him because of that.many people have peer presure issues and i just plainly think it all started in highschool.I mean what the heck everybody in this world makes mistakes jojo just happended to be famous. i think most of the weed thing is coming from his father every father tells their son that they want them to follow thier footsteps and trust me every father has that atleast one bad step.
