Rap-Up.com || Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, & T.I. Lead BET Awards Nominations

Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, and T.I. lead the nominations for the BET Awards 2009, it was announced today.

The Queen B, Weezy F. Baby, and the King of the South all scored five nominations apiece. They were followed by Keri Hilson and T-Pain with four each. Rihanna, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, and Jazmine Sullivan each nabbed three nominations.

Video of the Year contenders include two from Beyoncé (“If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”), Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It,” T.I.’s “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna, and Kanye West’s “Heartless.”

Jamie Foxx will host and Beyoncé, Maxwell, and Ne-Yo are scheduled to perform at the ninth annual show, which airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

BET has been biased towards Rihanna, she never won a Rihanna award, yet.
Though Rihanna has won a MTV, AMA, Grammy, and so many other awards that are arguably better and higher than a BET award and Rih can’t win a lesser award (BET)?!!! Ridiculous.

This is bs. Based on the criteria used for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Luda should have been nominated. Rick Ross is garbage, he doesn’t sell or have much hits this past year. And for the majority of this year, Kanye has been autotune and pop/r&b. The other choices could have been Plies or Game at least.

The “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist” category is horrible, why is Lil Mama even nominated? It seems like they couldn’t think of any more female rappers so they just randomly added her.

I hope Keri cleans every category she’s nominated for. She deserves some recognition.

BET awards ain’t nothin but a popularity contest. It’s all bout who they suck up to the most, high school all over again. I mean look at terrence and rocsi, they practically wet they pants everytime “certain” artist walk on the stage and then act all sadidy with others. It is funny how ppl think beyonce’s new CD is a flop lol…..Her Cd has sold 3,820,000 copies WW and about 2,200,000 from the US….and has had great single success in the US and WW. before she releases her re-release CD she will been have sold 4,000,000 copies of IASF WW and with the RE-release and right single selections in the future IASF can easliy reach 7,000,000 when its all said and done……so some of you ppl need to stop reading mediafakeout and learn the facts,,,,and by the way her tour is selling great she has sold out concerts throughout europe……and when the tour is done and the gross amount comes in beyonce will get the last laugh lol….

I AM CONFUSED. HOW IS BEYONCE’S CD A FLOP AND SHE IS OVER 4 MILLION SOLD WORLDWIDE AND 2 TIMES PLATINUM IN THE US. THATS NO FLOP. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU YOU SEE THAT BEYONCE PUSHED 485,000 HER FIRST WEEK, WHILE KERI HILSON AND CIARA DIDNT EVEN PUSH 100,000 THERE FOR WEEK.

HOW IS THIS A FLOP? SHE HAD A NUMBER 1 ALBUM THAT IS DOUBLE PLATINUM IN THE US, AND HAS BEEN OUT 6 MONTHS. WITH ANOTHER 2.5 SOLD MILLION OVER SEAS. GET OUT OF HER HATER
