“American Idol” contestant Kris Allen covered Kanye West’s “Heartless” on Tuesday’s show. Judge Randy Jackson liked the stripped-down acoustic version better than Kanye’s original. He’s got our vote.

That long note he did on “you’ll never find nobody better than MEEEE” was SOOOOO flat! He even knew it, that’s why his face changed. Besides that, it was just ok for me. I like the original way better. This guy didn’t really do anything spectacular with it. Vocally he could’ve done so much more. He’ll get the little girls vote any way.
