Eminem paid tribute to his late friend Proof at a free show in his hometown of Detroit on Tuesday night.

Em performed eight songs in a 35-minute set inside the MotorCity Casino Hotel. Among the tracks from Relapse were “3 A.M.,” “Hello/Insane,” “Beautiful,” “Crack a Bottle,” “We Made You,” and “Underground.” For the encore, he brought out members of D12 for “Lose Yourself.” DJ Jazzy Jeff warmed up the crowd.

“I was a little bit nervous ’cause I don’t have my right-hand man tonight. Make some noise if you miss Proof,” Slim Shady told the thousands of fans who won tickets to the private concert. “This is one of the best shows I’ve probably ever done, because when I get off stage, I’m actually going to remember it.”

Two of the songs will air on Friday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
