Rap-Up.com || New Music: Mariah Carey – ‘H.A.T.E.U.’ (Snippet)

A poor quality snippet of Mariah Carey’s new song “H.A.T.E.U.” has leaked from last night’s Island Def Jam Spring Collection event. The track was written and produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart and will appear on Mariah’s 12th studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, due August 25.

The-Dream and Tricky crafted another smash, hope the album is chock full of their creations! This is sooooo good, I can’t wait to hear the entirety, and its a guaranteed #1 single if released! Lead single anyone? I think so!

Plus I am maaaaaaaad tired to hear all those Tricky/The-Dream productions. It’s too caluculated already, same formula over and over. I don’t like when music is predictable. Next one please.

lol who DOESN’T know that mariah actually writes the majority of her lyrics and has since the beginning? That’s the difference between her and these other singers. With mariah, it’s her mannerisms that make it hard to believe, but if you listen to her talk you can tell she writes her own shit. SHE STAY GETTIN THEM ROYALTY CHECKS, and not lying to get them.

She actually writes and has been doing so since high school and her own songs got her signed in the 1st place. Beyonce and Matthew do whatevers needed to get an extra check. Mariah actually loves the process and she can tell you who wrote what and the process it took. Beyonce changes a word to make a dollar.

“jk” MC’s vocals were amazing on the Glitter album, “Lead the Way” and “Never Too Far” really showcase that. If you were comparing her vocals to the Charmbracelet or E=MC² album I’d say fair enough, ’cause she’s more whispery, holds back more and belts out less notes on those two albums.

If you’re a real Mariah fan you would know that she said in an interview, not to long ago, that she felt that in todays music, nobody want to really hear belting anymore. I think that’s why she toned it down. I mean she has a certain formula now, that obviously still works. I love her voice either way she sings. And yaw betta know Mariah’s still got it. If you don’t, go to youtube.com and watch the live performance she did of Fly Like a Bird on American Idol. I think it was a last years. She killed it!!!! Any way, this song sounds great and can’t wait to hear the whole thing and for the new album!

MIMI ALL THE WAY :) She’s one of them best in the industry and writes almost all of her songs on her own! For the songs she doesn’t, she’s co-writing them! And they are HITS. That proves alot abt her song-writing capability! I really cant wait for her album after all the news-worthy hype abt it!!!

First we all know Mimi writes or co writes her own records she also comes up with bv”s melodies and harmonies. This song right here brings out a certain sexiness in Mimi that was very butterfly era.
