Rap-Up.com || Dolla’s Alleged Killer Pleads Innocent

The man accused of murdering rapper Dolla has pleaded not guilty.

Aubrey Louis Berry entered the plea to murder and assault charges in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday. The 23-year-old Atlanta resident remains in jail on $5 million bail. His lawyer claims the shooting was self-defense.

Dolla, 21, was killed while waiting in the valet area at the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles on Monday. The suspect was arrested later that day trying to board a flight out of LAX.

The rapper, born Roderick Anthony Burton II, was preparing to release his debut album Another Day, Another Dolla on Akon’s label.

Akon released a statement to ABCNews.com on Tuesday. “Dolla was part of the Konvict Entertainment family and an incredible artist. This is a senseless crime and the industry has lost a real talent. Our heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans.”

FIRST OF ALL… Before you say someone LOOKS guilty know them.. He doesn’t look guilty he looks SAD.. As we all know Dolla was part of the Crips gang and we all know they are deep in LA.. Can’t wait for the true story to come out, so everyone can stop believing the hype. It may never come out because dude was a celebrity, but celebrity status doesn’t make you a good person. Aubrey had more money than Dolla, so it wasn’t a hating issue. Dolla was banging, and him and some of his boys jumped Aubrey in ATL at the strip club. They just so happen to meet in LA at that resturant; exchanged words with again…Dolla threatening Aubrey’s life as he did in ATL. Aubrey attempted to leave the resturant, when Dolla and his crew heinously followed. Unfortunate situation for both parties, but it was self-defense. What would you do; knowing someone is out for you, and you are a “licensed concealed handgun owner”??? Nobody should lose their life by the hands of another being, but he was legally in the right. What happens when Aubrey gets off for self-defense? He will still be seen as a murder of someone most of you bloggers never knew.

Question? Why do thugs families get mad when the past/karma finally catch up to them? It was ok for Dolla to be Billy Bad Ass and bully people but when the tables turn it is not ok! Please its sad he had to learn the hard way but I hope to his crew take this is as a lesson learned. And grow up! You see what it has done to Dolla why let it happen again.

First of all R.I.P Dolla..I’ve heard your music and think you had a lot of potential as an upcoming artist. I was looking forward to your album release when this happened to you. My condolences to his mother and family. This is a tragedy noone ever has the right to take someone elses life. God gives life and he takes it away. And to those stupid ass fools saying that Dolla was a crip and he deserved it, fact of the matter is that this fool took it upon himself to fly to L.A. shoot dolla in the back of the head like a punk….take off to the airport to try to go back to his home town of ATL and get caught up like a dumb ass. First of all this man is not innocent. He claims self defense, which is crap, Dollas back was turned. He was shot in the back of the head, and twice in the back. Evidence and proof confirms it. He’s going to prison for sure. Everyone at Twisted Records, are giving their prayers to the friends and family of Dolla. RIP Dolla. Heavens gotta be better than here.
