The Day the Music Died

Michael Jackson Remembered

Whether you’re black or white, you’ll remember where you were on June 25, 2009, the day one of the greatest entertainers of all time passed away. Fans all over the world mourned Michael Jackson’s death.

The King of Pop was remembered in his hometown of Indiana, at his family’s Encino home, at Harlem’s historic Apollo Theater, and by those who gathered outside UCLA Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The day the music died in photos.

I was never huge on michael, but I loved most of his music and videos.. He’s more of the previous generations thing.. when the Jackson’s used to come on T.V. every week. I am so sad reading all of this stuff. Everybody who is in music today has been influenced by the KING.

God Bless us all! We take such little things for granted such as being able to walk through a park in peace or sit at the bank of a lake to just exhale. Michael and so many other people like him are denied this simple luxury. I am so hurt and sadden by this untimely and unpreventable event. Michael will truly be missed and will always be loved. My heart goes out to his family and close friends and I hope that this will be a wake up call to us all not to take one another for granted not even for a second. May Michael finally be granted what he was so desperately seeking for: to be truly be accepted for himself, loved, and at peace.
