Madonna

Madonna paid homage to the King of Pop on Saturday in the same arena where he was to stage his “This Is It” farewell tour later this month.

A picture of a young Michael Jackson was shown on screen while Madonna performed “Holiday” during the opening of the second leg of her “Sticky & Sweet” tour at London’s O2 Arena. An MJ impersonator appeared on stage, wearing a black hat, sequined jacket, white glove, and white socks.

The music then switched to Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'” as the impersonator performed his famous moves, including the moonwalk.

After the performance, Madonna told the crowd, “Let’s give it up to one of the greatest artists the world has ever known, Michael Jackson. Long live the King!” The audience then erupted in thunderous applause.
