Rap-Up.com || Video: Chris Brown Apologizes for Beating Rihanna

Chris Brown has issued an apology for assaulting Rihanna in a new video that surfaced online. The 20-year-old pop star said he could not speak out earlier under the advice of his attorney.

“I wish I had a chance to live those few moments again, but unfortunately I can’t,” a remorseful Brown said. “I’m not going to sit here and make any excuses.”

“I have sought and I continue to seek help to ensure that what occurred in February can never happen again. What I did was unacceptable, 100%. I can only ask and pray that you forgive me, please. I intend to live my life so that I’m truly worthy of the term role model.”

Wow, this is odd … Aside from the facial expressions and teleprompter, I think he is sincere. It’s definitely left a stain on his reputation and I don’t think he will be able to overcome that. I could be wrong. Rihanna should do an interview as well. She can’t run away from it forever.

I feel like people need to lay off him a bit…he was wrong, but he’s just a youngster (which is’nt a justification), but let him learn. However, this apology would have been sincere if it was’nt so appearant that it was rehearsed, and probably even on a teleprompter or some cue cards.

if that wasnt awkward and rehearsed i dont know what is. obviously this starts his whole regret PR stint. next month comes the tv circuit for him to “talk” about what he did. i thought they were getting paid to write a book together about the whole situation. might as well make a fucking movie and record an album about it.

I think that this apology was scripted,but i do believe in second chances so i think we the world should try and give lil CB another chance. I know that if he do this again there is no future and his career is officially over. So don’t take it the wrong way chris,you got the talent but you fucked up, we all do. So make an apperance on a talk show and really let the world know and see your apology towards rhianna, and maybe everyone can forget about this mistake. .

Why do people seem to think that rehearsing a speech removes the sincerity of it? Haven’t you ever practiced an apology in your head before saying it to someone. Or practicing any important message you had to deliver.
I don’t support what he did in any way, but I do believe his words in this video.

just because he is reading or reciting a rehearsed speech doesnt mean he isnt sincere.
people do it all the time for reasons such as getting too emotional, being at a loss for words on the spot, or making sure it sounds the way the person means.

he’s young and like all young people he is learning from his mistakes.
as a fan and peer i accept his apology, because it is so hard for people in that situation to admit they did wrong to themselves let alone explaining it to the whole world.

of course it was rehearsed and read off. this is a PR stint, they couldnt have him fumbling any of his words or have anything taken the wrong way. each word was carefully placed in there by professionals so people like linda up there would eat it up.

True repentance would also mean that he is really doing something to ensure that “this never happens again” I would like to understand what type of anger management and counselling he has been doing before I think the court ordered it. Also he should take time out and not been releasing songs that refer to the crime he committed. Also I wish that he would have used the word crime. He was convicted and received punishment from the judge. I think that if he owned up to the fact that he is now a criminal in the eyes of the law it would help especially young people see that this is not just some incident or situation but that his beating of someone and even the act of laying hands on someone IS a crime and not just some unpleasant situation that happened between two people in love.
