It’s a boy for Jennifer Hudson! The Oscar winner gave birth to a healthy son on Monday night.

The boy, named David Daniel Otunga Jr., weighed in at seven pounds, 14 ounces, according to SHOWBIZ 411, who broke the news. The baby was named after his father, Hudson’s fiancé David Otunga.

This is the couple’s first child. They reportedly did not know the sex of the baby in advance and came prepared with blue and pink clothes.

Hudson and Otunga did not publicly announce that they were expecting a baby, but the Dreamgirl was visibly pregnant at various appearances.

The birth marks a joyous occasion for the singer-actress, who tragically lost her mother, brother, and nephew last October.
