Rap-Up.com || Bow Wow Signs to Cash Money Records

Bow Wow is officially a Cash Money Millionaire. The rapper revealed on Sunday that he is the newest signee to Lil Wayne and Birdman’s label.

“I’m officially the newest member to the Cash Money team!” the 22-year-old wrote on Twitter. “Bow Wow, Wayne, and Drake? Who [gonna] stop that trio! Shout to Stunna for believing in me and givn me a chance. Shout out 2 Wayne for letn me walk on board! And my YM family and Cash Money family.”

The announcement comes just months after Bow Wow said he was hanging up the mic after his seventh album New Jack City II to pursue acting and business ventures. “This my last album because for me, there’s no more that needs to be done on the music side,” he said at the time. “There’s nothing more that I want to accomplish that I haven’t seen yet.”

Just last week, Lil Wayne publicly announced Bow Wow’s Face Off collaborator Omarion as a new addition to the Young Money family, while on stage at the “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival” in Universal City, Calif.

“I’ve been rockin’ with Bow Wow for a minute,” Wayne said previously. “That’s my little brother. That’s my dude.”

Bow Wow was formerly signed to Columbia Records. BallerStatus.com was first to report the news on Sunday.

i swear its like Bow Wows tryna eat off Drakes Buzz to try and fit in with the hype and get hot cause we all kno damn well everyone still looks at him as “Lil Bow wow”. Thats why hes getting all this negative feedback. 99.9% of his fans are little girls and to be a respected rapper u need male fans as well as female fans. I mean hes already an established Artist but the truth is his music career is not gonna get better, he wont sell records. People who doesn’t even listen to the current Bow Wow shouldn’t even be responded to this news. I hate when people comment on things they don’t know about. Bow Wow is NOT fake…he only raps about things he knows instead of false flagging gangs that he doesn’t belong or even talking about “shooting somebody’s grandmother up…” but I’m glad that people that don’t like Bow Wow will soon jump on the bandwagon because that’s what lame people do…keep do doing your thing Bow because people listen to you and bump your shit regardless…

Not a fan of Bow Wow and I find it funny that he was really putting it out there a couple months ago that he was “so done” with music. This move just shows that he is really desperate for the success that he once had when he first came out on the scene. But regardless, I wish him the best of luck.

GREAT. This is just great Bow already is a poor man’s ripoff version of Weezy. Now he is signed to the label he will be even more of one. He shoulda gone with TIP like someone said. Only reason why he left his other label because Da Brat is in jail and cant write his other songs that TIP didnt write. DEATH!!!
