Rap-Up.com || Mya Joins ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Cast

Mya is dancing her way onto the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The R&B singer is among the celebrities who will hit the dance floor on Season 9 of TV’s second highest-rated series. Other contestants include Macy Gray, Aaron Carter, Natalie Coughlin, Mark Dacascos, Tom DeLay, Ashley Hamilton, Melissa Joan Hart, Kathy Ireland, Michael Irvin, Joanna Krupa, Chuck Liddell, Debi Mazar, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond, and Louie Vito.

“I’ve always wanted to be on the show. My mother [Theresa] and I are both fans,” says Mya, 30. “I’ve done tap dancing and hip-hop, but never done work with a partner. This will definitely be a challenge.”

Mya’s fourth and fifth studio albums, Liberation and Sugar & Spice, have been released in Japan, and her sixth studio album is due to be released on her independent label.

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres Monday, September 21, at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Wow ive been wondering where shes been. I was dissapointed that her album liberation never got released out here and the single choices werent that good. I think she chose to go independent cause of many female artists coming in the game and albums not selling like they use to but shes been here since the 90’s and has 2 back to back platinum albums. so she deserves to be in the game. I think she should work with tricky stewart again (who produced Case of the ex) which was a massive hit. She needs those uptempo club/r&b records.

Actually, Mya has a new mixtape coming out called Beauty & The Streets Vol.1 Sept.29th on her independent label Planet 9 and J.Prince’s Young Empire Music Group. im so happy for my girl mya i been i fan since she first got on the scene i know every song and seen every video and seen every movie and show she appeared in im so happy
yo trust be she coming back making a big splash and gona rock our world. now all we need to do is get brandy hot again and monica hot again and tamia and them good singers from the 90s and we will have talent back on the scene not just these bubble gum rap singers

Mya will this season she better. This is a whole different style of dance that mya will do yes she can dance but she never danced with a partner so haters fall back myá is more than qualified!
