Omarion Splits From Young Money![]() Money comes, Money goes. Omarion has been stripped of his Young Money Millionaire title.
A song from Omarion called “I Get It In” featuring Lil Wayne leaked online Wednesday. Later that evening, Young Money affiliate Mack Maine tweeted that O was no longer on the label and that the leaked track was not official. “Omarion is no longer Young Money…the song [they] leaked ft. Wayne is not official..good luck 2 him in his future endeavors..no further,” he wrote. A publicist for Cash Money/Young Money officially confirmed to Rap-Up.com that O had parted ways with the label. “Yes, it’s true,” the rep said, without elaborating further. Omarion responded to the reports, saying he chose to leave and was not dropped. “There’s alot of people thinking i got dropped from [Young Money],” he tweeted. “That has never nor will ever b the kase. I asked to be realeased, I didnt get dropped. I wish wayne and all of Y.m good luck for there future. There r no hard feelings, business is business, and I made a decision that I felt was best for me. ALBUM OLLUSION still koming video still koming really soon luv yall thanx for holdin me down!” Just a couple weeks ago, Wayne publicly inducted Omarion into the Young Money family onstage at a “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival” show in Universal City, Calif. O performed “Every Girl” and moonwalked across the stage. Rap-Up TV captured the footage, which can be seen below. Earlier this week, Omarion’s Face Off collaborator Bow Wow announced his signing to Cash Money. You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 12 CommentsLeave a Reply

i hear he left cuz bow is there. i mean wayne wasnt gonna let him put out an album anytime soon anyways. it was better when he was wit timbaland. i wish he woulda stayed there and did an album. young money really consists of no one talented except for drake and lil wayne.

This was one of the best decision Omarion made in a while. Young Money record label has a lot of fishy businesses going on, I believe that’s the reason why Drake is not an official Young Money artist, he is only affiliated with the label. Omarion should be under Timbaland record label like he was supposed to be in the first place. If he doesn’t want to sign to Timbaland, he should at least give Kanye’s label a chance, he seem to take care of his artist; Lupe, Kid Cudi, John Legend, Mr. Hudson and Common.

The Deal with Timbalands label woulda been the best move but the deal didnt go through unfortunately. i think maybe he will sign a deal with Polow da dons Zone 4 inc label or Atlantic Records. he needs a label that he can have creative control and the budgets are there for videos, promotion etc.

Omarion needs a stable label…I also feel that Drake does not belong on Y.M. he belongs on G.O.O.D. Music because the influences that YM presents I don’t feel suit Drake’s personality or content. Omarion made the right choice I think because at least his album won’t be surrounded by hype and over-ration.
