Michael Jackson’s final farewell will not be on his birthday, the singer’s spokesman said Friday.

The King of Pop’s funeral has been moved to September 3 due to an undisclosed reason. He was originally supposed to be buried on what would have been his 51st birthday, August 29. The ceremony will be limited to family and close friends.

As previously reported, the funeral will take place at Holly Terrace in the Grand Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.
