Leona Lewis is making her return to music loud and clear. The vocal powerhouse will release her sophomore album on November 17.
The 24-year-old winner of the U.K.’s “X Factor” is back with Echo, the follow-up to her breakthrough debut Spirit, which has sold over 6 million albums worldwide, earned three Grammy nominations, and spawned the best-selling single of 2008, “Bleeding Love.”
The British singer has been perfecting her sound in the studio with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Tedder, and John Shanks.
“She’s really going all out singing-wise on this one. It’s more guitar-driven from what I’ve heard, so more pop/alternative, far from urban,” one of the project’s contributors Novel recently told Rap-Up.com. “It’s gonna be a crazy album.”

^CORRECTION Mariah USED TO have the voice, but now it’s gone. I’m not saying Leona is the voice (oh no definitely not!) but the reality is Mariah doesn’t have it anymore, and I thought Whitney was called The Voice, not Mariah. Anyway, I ‘m SOOO excited for this record can’t wait. Rap-up please inform us when the first single comes out, cause I’m so gonna buy it. GO UK!!
