The star power at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is getting brighter. Beyoncé and Wale have been added to the lineup.
Nine-time nominee Beyoncé, who’s up for Video of the Year and Best Female Video, has officially joined the list of performers at this year’s show. She will take the stage for the third time in VMA history, performing her latest single “Sweet Dreams” off I Am… Sasha Fierce.
Her husband Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink, and Muse have all been previously announced as performers.
Wale and the legendary Washington, D.C., go-go band UCB will bring down the house as the official house band for the night. The “Chillin'” rapper will perform this year’s biggest hits with the All-American Rejects, Pitbull, and 3OH!3.
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards air live September 13 at 9 p.m. EST.
